Snazzy Productions presents ALBERT LEE

Legendary Guitarist Albert Lee Live at El Vaquero Winery! Join us for an unforgettable evening as Albert Lee, Grammy-winning guitar virtuoso and rockabilly icon, takes the stage at the scenic El Vaquero Winery in Corralitos Albert Lee began his music journey at a young age in England, inspired by rock and roll legends like Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry. Performing throughout London in bars and church halls, he eventually gained early commercial success in the 1960s with Chris Farlowe and The Thunderbirds. While many gravitated toward Gibson Les Pauls and Fender Stratocasters, Albert embraced the Fender Telecaster and discovered a deep love for country music, setting himself apart stylistically. In the years that followed, Lee split his time between the U.K. and Los Angeles, performing with bands like A Poet and a One Man Band (later Heads Hands & Feet), and joining The Crickets for recording and touring. A major milestone came when he began working with his idols, the Everly Brothers, performing with Don Everly as a guitarist and harmony singer. During his time in L.A., Albert became a fixture in the music scene, hosting gatherings with stars like John Lennon, Joni Mitchell, and Ringo Starr. In the mid-1970s, he joined Joe Cocker’s band, which eventually led to a collaboration with Emmylou Harris & The Hot Band and the release of his first solo album Hiding in 1979. His friendship with Eric Clapton led to a five-year collaboration, including work on the live album Just One Night, recorded at Tokyo’s Budokan. One of Lee’s most notable roles came in 1983 when he served as Musical Director and guitarist for the Everly Brothers’ historic reunion concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall. He continued performing and recording with them for over two decades. Throughout his career, he also worked with artists like Rosanne Cash and joined Gerry Hogan’s band, Hogan’s Heroes, eventually becoming its frontman—a new but rewarding experience for Lee. Albert Lee’s accolades include two Grammy Awards for Best Country Instrumental Performance and five consecutive wins as Guitar Player Magazine’s Best Country Guitarist. Renowned for his lightning-fast technique and melodic sensibility, he earned the nickname “the guitar player’s guitar player.” His influential song “Country Boy” became a signature piece, later hitting #1 with Ricky Skaggs. In the 2000s, Lee toured with Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings and released solo albums Heartbreak Hill and Road Runner. In 2011, he formed his first U.S.-based band, and continues to tour widely, captivating audiences with his legendary playing and enduring passion for music. Sip award-winning wines, soak in the Alladin Nursery views next door, and experience the magic of a true guitar legend—live and up close. 🎟️ Tickets are limited—don’t miss out!
