Born and raised in St. Louis, Vincent Varvel began his professional career while studying jazz guitar at SIUE, freelancing with many different performers in the St. Louis area. Since then he has toured the United States and Europe with various ensembles in addition to leading his own jazz group performing his original compositions. He is currently Instructor of Guitar at Washington University in St. Louis.
Farshid Etniko is an Iranian-American performer and composer who combines jazz standards and Latin beats with Middle Eastern flavor. Farshid is a renowned musician in St. Louis, celebrated for his complex, beautiful, and unique music. A true scholar of world music, Farshid has extensively traveled and studied in France, Iran, Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
