Sean Lane & the Hellhounds
Sean Lane is a singer-songwriter who plays solo-acoustic Delta style blues and also fronts a four-piece electric combo. Sean Lane & the Hellhounds are an aggressive blues band that aren't afraid to blend in a little rock. Their sound has been described as "blues on steroids." Sean started The Hellhounds as a Delta blues slide guitarist and vocalist, writing original songs in the style of the old Mississippi masters and blending it with the intensity of Blues-Rock. Darren "Mojo Slim" Lancaster has been playing harmonica with Sean for many years, either as a duo or with The Hellhounds. When Ian Coggeshall joined to add his funky bass guitar and Mike Murphy put his thundering drums into the mix, The Hellhounds emerged as a true Blues-Rock powerhouse. Based out of Los Angeles with roots in the South, The Hellhounds are all about blending old tradition with modern innovation to create their own sound. Their music is beyond standard Chicago blues here; it's raw, powerful, and distinctive.
