    09/28/2025 09:15 AM 09/28/2025 04:00 PM America/Anguilla Scholastic Chess Tournament The National Scholastic Chess Foundation (NSCF) will host a scholastic chess tournament at Greenwich Country Day School on Sunday, September 28. It's open to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. While most sections are rated by USChess, there are unrated sections for newer players in grades K-1 and 2-3. This allows children to try competitive chess without having to join USCF or worry about rating points. A non-profit organization that has been teaching in Greenwich schools since 1990, NSCF tournaments provide students with competitive chess experience while promoting social connections, emotional growth through handling wins/losses, and skill development through game analysis.
