Scales & Shells: A Live Reptile Presentation
Are you an animal lover? Have you ever wished you could meet some of the world's most incredible and beautiful creatures up-close and personal? Now is your chance!
The Mt. Healthy Chapter of Izaak Walton League is hosting an hour-long, interactive, educational program with Arrowhead Reptile Rescue (ARR). Meet ARR's friendly ambassador animals up-close while gaining insight about them through an engaging, fact-filled presentation. Learn all about the native reptiles and amphibians living right here in Ohio; where they are, what they look like and even what to do if you find one out in the wild. But not just natives, see and interact with exotic reptiles from all over the globe!
ARR rehabilitates injured native wildlife along with taking in, healing and re-homing exotic pets. They currently have 134 animals in their care. All of ARR's staff including its founder are volunteers and rely on donations to care for the animals in need. Educational programs are a major way they gain funding while also spreading awareness and their enthusiasm for the wild and wonderful.
Adults and families with children ages 4 and up are welcome to attend. Your program donation of $5 per person or $15 per family of four provides funding to care for these animals.
