Dr. Jon Snow presents: A Song of Ice and Fire: Sea Floor Spreading Beneath the North Pole
Dr. Jon Snow is a Professor and the Chair of the Dept. of Geology & Geophysics at LSU. As a volcanologist, geologist, and oceanographer, he explores the formation of Earth's lithosphere, focusing on oceanic rift systems and mantle processes. His research also includes the tectonics of fracture zones and the structure of the oceanic lower crust and upper mantle. Through his pioneering studies, Professor Jon is helping us understand the dynamic forces that shape our world.
