Satirical Race Theory
Satirical Race Theory, an improvised show that kicks off on April 15th at the company’s Lincoln Park theater. The all-Black cast features over a dozen critically-acclaimed Chicago actors who will explore popular academic subjects, reshaping them through a Black lens. Each show will open with a performance from the Emmy-winning dance company, The Puzzle League. Satirical Race Theory will have a 12-week run, performing Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. between April 15th and July 1st.
A farce on the American classroom, elements of the show incorporate improvised scenes built upon the suggestion of a single audience member. From this point, cast members hilariously explore scenes and characters, all under the guise of the American education system.
