Santa at the Seymour Historical Society Museum
Christmas often means big crowds. If you don’t want to push your way through busy malls or shopping centers to take your kids to see Santa, the Seymour Historical Society is offering a welcome alternative. On Saturday, Dec. 2, Santa Claus will make his annual visit to the Katharine Matthies House in Seymour from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Kids of all ages can bring their gift lists and have their own personal moment with St. Nick. Plus, parents can take all the photos they want. And there’s absolutely no charge. There’s plenty of on-street and off-street parking available and the rooms in our historic house will be decorated for the season. No reservations are required and we rarely have lines or long waits. It’s the perfect - and stress-free - opportunity to get that snapshot to put on Christmas cards or sent to friends and relatives.
