Help the Sand Lake Historical Society celebrate town historian Bob Moore’s 50 Years of teaching and sharing his passion of American History. For our first meeting of the new season on Tuesday September 8th, Bob will present an update of his office’s recent activities and what is coming up in the next year. Bob has also invited a special surprise guest to help us celebrate. In addition, Doug Kelly will report on current SLHS activities and programs.
New this year, we will feature “Treasures from our Historical Collection”. At each meeting, we will feature some historically significant items or documents from our collection. We have many fascinating and interesting things that need to be seen. Also, we are planning on adding some field trips to historically significant locations, so watch for emails as some programs may not be on Tuesday nights.
Sand Lake Historical Society programs are held at the Sand Lake Town Hall Courtroom, 8428 NY 66, Averill Park, beginning at 7PM. SLHS monthly programs are open to the public and are live-streamed on the Town Video website -https://townhallstreams.com/towns/sand_lake_ny. A $5 donation is suggested for non-members. New members are always welcomed.
