San Antonio Mastersingers Present Broadway/Opera Favorites in FREE ‘Theatrical Serenade” Sunday, April 7, 2024
Concert to also feature musicians from the SA Philharmonic, St. Philip’s College Choir and guest soloists Rafael Moras and Sabatina Mauro
WHAT: The San Antonio Mastersingers will present “Theatrical Serenade” Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 3 p.m. -- a FREE community concert featuring Broadway and Opera favorites -- in the Watson Fine Arts Center at St. Philip’s College on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.
The concert directed by Dr. Yoojin Muhn and made possible through support from the Russell Hill Rogers Fund for the Arts and other donors, will feature the 120+ voice strong Mastersingers chorus, along with musicians from the San Antonio Philharmonic, the St. Philip’s College Choir, and soloists, including guest artists Rafael Moras and Sabatina Mauro.
“We are grateful to the Russell Hill Rogers Fund and our donors for their generous support, and for the opportunity to present this ‘love song’ to the San Antonio community in this beautiful East Side venue,” said Muhn. “Our program features familiar and favorite selections from the Broadway stage and well-known operas – music that will warm the heart and bring smiles to each face.”

Currently in its 79th season, San Antonio Mastersingers is an all-volunteer chorus of approximately 125 singers from the San Antonio community and surrounding areas. A 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, Mastersingers delivers enriching experiences through the performance of choral repertoire that engages concert audiences through artistry, inspiration, and education; challenges member singers; and enables the organization to raise funds for charitable organizations and causes throughout the community.
Dr. Yoojin Muhn is music director for the San Antonio Mastersingers and serves as director of Choral Activities for the University of Texas at San Antonio.
