Participate in a 60-minute Vinyasa flow led by Take Care Yoga that focuses on building strength, balance, flexibility, and heart.
Early arrival is encouraged to secure your space. Exercise materials will not be provided. Please bring a water bottle, yoga mat, and any other items necessary for your practice. All levels are welcome.
10:30 am–12:30 pm: Art Therapy, Reading, and Live Music
Get your creative juices flowing with a guided art activity led by educators from Seattle-based non-profit organization Northwest Creative & Expressive Arts Institute. You’ll leave this kinetic experience with a rejuvenated mind and artistic masterpiece to take home.
Find solace in the music of songwriter and music producer Shelby Natasha. Influenced by her upbringing split between China and the Pacific Northwest, her music layers a live Guzheng performance atop lofi R&B beats and Chinese folk songs.
Calling all book lovers! The bookworms of Silent Book Club West Seattle are taking over the sculpture park’s PACCAR Pavilion to provide a quiet space for sustained reading and connection. Don’t have a book? No problem! All participants are welcome to borrow reading materials from our onsite SAM Library pop-up.
1–2 pm: Sound Bowls
Recharge for the week ahead with a sound bowl performance by Biom. Utilizing the resonance of crystal bowls and metal gongs, this hourlong experience incorporates sound, plants, and light therapy to help clear the mind, loosen stagnant energy, relieve tension, and reach a deep meditative state.
