Sakonnet Vineyard, located at 162 West Main Road in Little Compton, is welcoming guests throughout August with free live music, community events, fitness classes, guided vineyard tours, wine tastings, and seasonal café offerings. August’s schedule of events includes: Saturday, August 1: Tim & Dani Fischetti (traditional fiddle, modern instrumentals, and bluegrass and jazz standards) Sunday, August 2: Dave Alves Band (alternative rock, pop, singer-songwriter) Thursday, August 6: Mary McAvoy (R&B, pop, songwriter) Saturday, August 8: Stefan Couture (Americana, folk-rock, singer-songwriter) Sunday, August 9: Dan Greaves (show lists, covers, original songs) Thursday, August 13: Take It To The Bridge Trio (acoustic funk, soul, pop, rock) Friday, August 14: Trivia Night with Gary Farias 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15: Frank Foot (solo acoustic covers, live loops) Sunday, August 16: Danilo Henriquez (classic covers, jazz) Thursday, August 20: Purple Honey Trio (pop, rock, funk, reggae) Saturday, August 22: Jake and Carl Davis (folk, Americana) Sunday, August 23: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Mary McAvoy (R&B, pop, songwriter) 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.: LC Community Line Dance Thursday, August 27: Ric Allendorf (acoustic folk, blues) Saturday, August 29: Beth Killian (singer songwriter) Sunday, August 30: Bay Swing Jazz Band Sakonnet Vineyard is also offering guided vineyard tours, giving guests a new way to experience the property while exploring its rich history, coastal terroir, and winemaking approach.
