The Penn Jersey Roller Derby League would like to announce their latest rookies' graduation game: Rookie Rampage on Saturday August 10th at the Northeast Racquet Club in Northeast Philadelphia. Our new rookies are ready to take to the track
and join the ranks of Penn Jersey's alternate pools, feeding into the veteran She Devils and Hooligans teams, the mainstays
of Penn Jersey's banked track.
Penn Jersey, founded in 2005, is Philly's only co-ed derby league, home to the She Devils women's and Hooligans
men's teams, playing both modern flat track and old school banked track games. Penn Jersey operates out of north
Philadelphia with skaters coming from south Philly, Jersey and as far out as New York and Baltimore. As a skater-owned and
operated league, Penn Jersey runs entirely on time and talents of skaters and volunteers to manager and operate all the business
of the league including game production, promotion and fundraising.
The skaters of Penn Jersey do this on their own time out of the love and respect for the game that greats like their
coaches "Little"? Richard Brown, "Skip" Schoen, and the late Judy Sowinski kept alive during a time of dormancy until the
recent derby revival occurred, spanning coast to coast.
Come join us for the ultimate newbie knockdown where everyone on the track's got something to prove and nothing
to lose!
