Rockabilly Rising: Bec & The Bopcats with Special Student Guests
Join us for a rockin’ afternoon with Bec and the Bopcats at Iron Smoke Distillery on Saturday, May 9 from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. This special performance shines a spotlight on three talented young vocalists who have been mentored by the band, bringing the next generation of rockabilly to the stage.
Featuring students from Dake Junior High in West Irondequoit and Penfield High School, these rising performers have been working closely with Bec and the Bopcats to develop their stage presence, vocals, and love for classic music. Now, they’ll join the band live to perform a selection of rockabilly favorites and timeless hits.
The afternoon will include music by Elvis Presley, Stray Cats, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, and more, blending iconic sounds with fresh young energy. Known for their high-energy, spiced-up rockabilly style, Bec and the Bopcats bring Bec Natalie’s powerful vocals together with the top-notch talents of Jim Bassano, Paul Towsley, and Kevin Stewart for a show that gets everyone moving.
Come support local youth, celebrate mentorship through music, and experience a unique performance where classic rockabilly lives on through the next generation.
