River Health Day - Bike Month Edition
Join us for our May River Health Day (Bike Month Edition!) where not only can you help maintain native seedlings along the banks of the San Lorenzo River, but you can also ride the loveliest bike trail on your way there. At this event you will be able to assist in both increasing biodiversity along the riverbank and revitalizing the river ecosystem. At the end of our event, we will have a raffle (for those who bike to the event) and you will have the chance to win your very own pair of Blackburn bike panniers.
This event will be held Saturday May 14th from 10-12pm between the east riverbank and the Soquel Ave and Laurel Street bridges.
We recommend that all volunteers dress in comfortable gardening clothes, including long pants, socks and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Bring layers, sun protection and a reusable water bottle.
Gloves, tools and light refreshments will be provided. All ages and abilities welcome. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
