Reston Art Gallery’s 8th Annual Invitational Exhibition & Reception
The Reston Art Gallery’s 8th Annual Invitational exhibition will be on view from July 3 through July 27, 2025. Saturdays, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Sundays, 12:00–5:00 p.m.) at Reston Art Gallery and Studios (RAGS), located at Lake Anne Plaza in Reston, Virginia.
All are welcome to a reception to meet the artists on Sunday, July 13 from 2:00 -4:00 pm.
The exhibition showcases the work of the nine RAGS artists and nine guest artists. Each RAGS member artist invited a special guest artist to exhibit their work together. The RAGS artists include Director and owner, Pat Macintyre, full members Jennifer Duncan, Sandra Dovberg, Rosemarie Forsythe, Julia Tova Malakoff, Cindy Grisdela, and Marthe McGrath, and two adjunct members, Doug Fuller and Wayne Schiffelbein. The show’s eighteen works feature an exciting and wide range of art mediums, including painting, mixed media, sculpture, mobiles, mosaics, and fiber art. The artists come from a variety of backgrounds and have learned and honed their techniques all over the world. The exhibition brings together a variety of textures, forms, colors, and meanings for a memorable and exciting show.
Reston Art Gallery and Studios is an inspiring artists’ collective featuring new monthly shows by its seven full members and several group shows, which also include the two adjunct members. The gallery offers a diverse array of original works, including paintings in watercolor, acrylic, and oil, mixed media collage, sculptures, jewelry, mobiles, photography, and art objects—all available for purchase. Free themed “Crafts for Kids” are offered every Saturday from April through December, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. RAGS is open to the public every weekend from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. and by appointment.
