Renewed Perspectives
The Wilson Avenue Loft Artists (WALA) will present “Renewed Perspectives” a curated collection by Jill Sarver Rossi, Executive Director of the Rome Art Program and Senior Curator for the Cynthia Byrnes Contemporary Art. The exhibition will take place during the annual Open Studios Weekend on October 19 and October 20 from 11 am to 4 pm with 16 artists participating in the event. There is also an opening reception planned for Friday, October 18 from 6 to 8 pm.
This year, the artists will present a scholarship from the show proceeds to one graduating senior student from Brian McMahon High School and one student from Norwalk High School who are accepted into a 2024-2025 fine arts program at the university level to assist them in their endeavors.
WALA is a gallery and workspace which strives to nurture and enrich relationships between individual artists and the community. Since 2007, this community of artists have found a creative home in a renovated industrial building located at 225 Wilson Avenue in South Norwalk with plenty of parking available.
