Regenerative Ag Conference
On Thursday, November 7th, Missouri Farmers Union will host its 2024 Annual Meeting at the Bradford Research Farm in Columbia. The event will start off with networking and a book signing opportunity by keynote speaker Will Harris from White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, Georgia. Will is a fourth-generation cattleman who uses the regenerative practices that his great-grandfather used 130 years before and has been recognized all over the world as a leader in humane animal husbandry and environmental sustainability. Additional speakers include Dr. Babu Valliyodan of Lincoln University, who will speak about hemp as your next cash crop, and Katie Nixon of Heartland Regional Food, who will discuss the Business Builder grant. Members and guests will enjoy a panel discussion featuring local and regenerative ag leaders to wrap up the evening. Ticket prices are $30 for Missouri Farmers Union members and $60 for non-members.
