Raise Your Voice: Songs of Hope & Resistance with James McCarthy
Join us for the second edition of "Raise Your Voice: Songs of Hope and Resistance”! Inspired by the rousing success of our August concert, James McCarthy returns to share powerful, uplifting time-honored songs of hope, courage and community. James draws from decades inspiring others through music and personal encounters with musical legends like Pete Seeger, Uncle Eddie Kamae and Phil Lesh. The set list will weave together material from the great American songbag, fiery Celtic stompalongs and James’ own songs.
James enriches the experience with historical anecdotes, quick wit and a warm inclusive presence that make it easy to get in the groove and sing along.
Friday, October 10 from 5-7 p.m. 2nd Floor DAC Classroom, $10 per person, online or at the door.
