Racine Symphony Orchestra Season Finale
Guest artist Einav Yarden
Einav Yarden is one of the world’s great pianists, bar none. Residing in Berlin, she will make one of her limited engagement performances in the U. S. in Racine performing the greatest piano concerto of them all – Concerto No. 5 by Beethoven – the “Emperor.”
Resphigi’s Pines of Rome is a slow burn, as the saying goes. There is a recording of birds. There are gorgeous solos. There is an extra brass section. This is music that begins as if in the great distance but has as triumphant an ending as has ever been created.
