Race Against Human Trafficking 5K Run/Walk
Lace up your shoes and join the race against human trafficking! The Kern County Family Justice Center Foundation (KCFJCF) will be hosting their 2nd Annual Race Against Human Trafficking 5K Run/Walk during Human Trafficking Prevention Month. All are welcome on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Park at Riverwalk in Bakersfield. Registration and packet pickup will be from 7:00am – 8:00am. The race will begin at 8:30am. Awards will be presented to the top three participants in various age groups for both males and females.
Tickets are $30.00 each or $25.00 for those 12 years and younger. All registrants will receive a shirt with the purchase of a ticket. Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal enterprise in the world, with California having a notorious distinction of being one of the nation’s top destinations for human trafficking. This event will not only benefit the KCFJC, but will send a strong message as the community comes together to support victims and spread awareness as they race against human trafficking.
About the Kern County Family Justice Center The KCFJCF has partnered with the KCFJC to raise, hold, manage, and distribute donations and other funds from individuals and organizations to foster and support the KCFJC in its work to provide services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking.
Donations support client services such as transportation, onsite childcare, emergency needs such as groceries or diapers, locksmith services for victims, and other auxiliary services to help adult victims and children. We are also seeking donations to support the Family Justice Center’s mission to assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking.
