Puppets Unleashed! Workshop at the Creative Chicago Reuse Exchange (CCRx) Feb 15, 12 - 2pm
Design and build unique puppets that can dance, sing, fly upside down, and change the world - it's up to you!
You will have access to wondrous reclaimed materials at the CCRX warehouse and to puppetry teaching artists Chio Cabrera and Agnotti Cowie from Opera-Matic.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned crafter, you'll enjoy the fun process of transforming everyday objects into expressive, one-of-a-kind characters.
Chio has personally taught puppet making workshops for children aged 7-12 years old, teens aged 15-19, and adults., in schools and after school programs.
Opera-Matic is a neighborhood-based public art organization that partners with community organizations and individuals to create free, multidisciplinary, highly-participatory arts events. CCRx redistributes and reimagines surplus for teachers, artists, nonprofits and community groups.
