About The Austin Séance The Austin Séance is a creative and experimental collaboration devoted to the history and practice of American séances and Spiritualism. Led by Artistic Director Albert Lucio and Editorial Director Jake Cordero, The Austin Séance has operated from its home base in Central Texas since 2016. Its work includes séance demonstrations in museums and other public institutions, occult workshops, occult lectures, and academic seminars. The Austin Séance also operates an editorial division and publishes a quarterly journal. The Austin Séance has been featured in Texas Monthly, NPR’s Texas Standard radio program, TV broadcasts and more.
