A new theater group, Magnolia Productions, is debuting their premiere production, David Auburn's Pulitzer prize winning Proof at NJ Repertory Co in Long Branch this weekend.
There are many firsts happening here. First: witness the inaugural performance from the newly formed Magnolia Productions, an all-female run theater group, whose mission statement says "We strive to bring you stories about women, by women and for women. We believe in female empowerment. We believe we all have a voice. We all have a story worth telling and hearing."
This also marks the first time the prestigious professional theater company, NJ Rep, has loaned its space for a community theater performance.
Magnolia is partnering with Chaos Theater Co (another rarity in an environment where most theaters consider others competition) to bring you this production. The cast consists of Christa Collier (Freehold), Matt Gochman, Carl Hoffman (Eatontown) and Samantha Ambler (Hazlet).
The show runs May 31-June 9 with performances Friday & Saturday evenings at 7 and Sunday matinees at 2pm at NJ Rep Co 179 Broadway, Long Branch. Tickets are $28 and are available at www.MoreChaos.BookTix.net
