Promenade at Coconut Creek, an upscale, mixed-use lifestyle shopping center located in Coconut Creek, Florida (https://promenadeatcoconutcreek.com), invites the community to a fun and educational Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 27th, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. During the event, held under the center’s beautiful butterfly mural, guests will learn how to keep themselves as well as the planet in tip-top shape. Attendees will be invited to participate in a fitness class led by Orangetheory Fitness; the intensity of this workout class will be based on the five heart rate training zones and the level of effort expended can be adjusted based on each person’s individual heart rate. Additionally, Y6 (YogaSix) will lead a Y6 Slow Flow class which gently engages, opens and strengthens the body by tapping into accessible yoga poses, fluid movement, and breath. This Slow Flow class moves at a slower pace to allow participants to explore individual postures and transitions; newer students find the Slow Flow class builds confidence and familiarity, while more experienced participants refine the fundamentals of alignment and dive into a deeper practice. StrechLab will also be on hand to guide the group through a series of stretches and teach proper stretch tool usage. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mats for each class. To showcase the ways people can protect the planet, there will also be sustainable arts and crafts for children, Earth Day-themed music, and conservation-minded exhibits from a number of the center’s retailers and other local vendors. Attending this event costs $5 and pre-registration is recommended: https://bit.ly/4cRpwBd. To learn more, visit https://promenadeatcoconutcreek.com/events.
