Project Onward Portrait Slam and ICONIC Record Show Opening
On Thursday, March 6, Ramova will host the opening of ICONIC, a Record Show featuring album cover reimaginings by neurodiverse artists from Project Onward, as well as a Portrait Slam featuring custom portrait creations by Project Onward artists. Project Onward is a studio and gallery dedicated to the creative growth of adult artists whose lives are impacted by mental illness and developmental disabilities, working to give artists with disabilities a “visual voice” to tell their stories and change the perceptions of the world.
Additionally, Project Onward will host a Portrait Slam in which select Project Onward artists will be offering custom portrait requests. The ICONIC exhibition will be on display in Ramova’s taproom, and a portion of taproom sales during the opening event will be donated directly to Project Onward.
