Pres/book signing for "Year One: St. Louis CITY SC" set for August 10 at Kirkwood Public Library
Author Dave Lange and St. Louis CITY play-by-play announcer Joey Zanaboni will cover the rich history of soccer in St. Louis, the nation's first soccer capital. Discussion will range from the sport's beginnings in St. Louis in the early 1870s, to soccer's development in making St. Louis the home of almost 80 U.S. Men's and Women's National Team players, and conclude with the rise of St. Louis CITY SC. Book sales and book-signing of "Year One: St. Louis CITY SC," will follow the presentation. A limited number of copies of "Soccer Made in St. Louis: A History of the Game in America's First Soccer Capital," also will be available.
