Pregnant & Postpartum Parent Party | Molina Healthcare of IL/ Chicago South Side Birth Cntr/CUSP
Molina Healthcare of Illinois (“Molina”) is partnering with Chicago United Solidarity Project and Chicago South Side Birth Center to host a “Pregnant and Postpartum Parent Party.” This event aims to support families as they move through pregnancy and early stages of parenthood by providing them with community resources and support services. Community organizations will be presenting available programs, services and opportunities, while Molina representatives will be on-site handing out baby bags to attendees. Event participants are encouraged to register in advance as space is limited.
In Illinois, Black women are more than twice as likely to die from pregnancy-related causes and three times as likely to die from pregnancy-related medical complications as white women. Through this event Molina hopes to empower parents at every stage with the resources they and their families need to thrive.
