Event held at 162 McDonnell Hall, Washington University. Mr. Reeves will present a review of the evolution of the Moon and its geology so that people can " become friends with and understand the Moon as seen through a telescope". Most library branches in the St. Louis Metro area have telescopes available for checkout to adult library card holders. The Moon is the best target for telescope viewing by the general public, especially from urban and suburban locations. Robert Reeves has been a devoted lunar photographer since 1959. He photographs the Moon from his Perspective Observatory in central Texas. Event also visible via internet. For the Zoom link, please e-mail [email protected]. Event co-sponsored by St. Louis Astronomical Society and the NASA Missouri Space Grant Consortium at Washington University.
