Polish American Society of St Pete 75th Anniversary Celebration

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Polish American Society of St. Petersburg Celebrates 75 Years of Culture, Community, and Tradition ST. PETERSBURG, FL – On March 15, 2026, the Polish American Society of St. Petersburg (PASoSP) will mark a monumental milestone: its 75th Anniversary. To celebrate three-quarters of a century as a cultural landmark in St. Petersburg, the Society invites the public to a grand Anniversary Dinner and Dance from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Founded in 1951 after a chance encounter between a Polish retiree and a local police officer, the PASoSP has grown from a small group of families meeting in private homes to a vibrant community pillar. This Diamond Jubilee event honors the "grit and spunk" of the founding members who built the Society’s permanent home in 1957. Event Highlights: Polish Feast (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Guests will enjoy a traditional menu featuring handmade Pierogi, Kielbasa, Stuffed Cabbage, cucumber salad, and a selection of desserts and coffee. Live Music & Dancing (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM): The popular local band Gone Coastal will provide the afternoon's entertainment, playing a mix of polka favorites and high energy classics to keep the dance floor moving. Cash Bar: The celebration will feature a wide selection of imported Polish beers and vodkas. “This anniversary is not just about our history; it’s a celebration of the future,” says Jim Grinaker, PASoSP president. “We are proud to have remained a ‘home away from home’ for 75 years, and we welcome everyone—Polish or not—to come experience our hospitality.” Ticket Information: To encourage early planning, discounted tickets are available for purchase in advance: Admission: $10 in advance | $15 at the door Dinner: $15 in advance | $20 at the door Reservations: Highly recommended. Please call 727-894-9908 to secure your tickets. About the Polish American Society of St. Petersburg: Established on January 9, 1951, the PASoSP is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Polish heritage and fostering community through social events, traditional meals, and cultural education.
