Last gracing the screen at the Webster Film Series in April 2019 to a very enthusiastic crowd, Jackie Chan’s blockbuster Police Story has him at his death-defying best. As the policeman Ka-Kui, who singlehandedly takes down the drug lord Chu Tao, only to see him released soon after and framing Ka-Kui for the murder of another cop as revenge, Jackie must clear his name, keep the case’s star witness, Salina Fong (Brigitte Lin, Chungking Express) safe, and not worry his girlfriend May (Maggie Cheung, In the Mood for Love) too much. In the process he knocks down shantytowns, hangs from moving buses, and breaks all possible glass inside of a shopping mall.
