According to Paul Signac, who rejected the “Pointillist” label, “The Neo-Impressionist does not dot he divides.” The goals of “luminosity” and “harmony” were achieved by using solely pure pigments in the “prism” as defined by English physicist Sir Isaac Newton. Using this perspective as a jumping-off point and an inspiration, the Gallery at Carrollwood Cultural Center is proud to present artwork that expands and enriches our experience of the world and its magnificent color.
