"Fruits of the Earth" brings together harvest-themed poems from poets both contemporary (including Ross Gay, Paul Muldoon, Rita Dove, and Michael Ondaatje) and classic (Pablo Neruda, Seamus Heaney, William Carlos Williams, and Sylvia Plath), celebrating the yield of our gardens, fields, and orchards. The book is the latest in the beautiful and giftable Everyman's Library Pocket Poets series, each compact volume bound in a gorgeously-illustrated full-cloth cover with a silk ribbon marker and gold stamping.
Mihaela Moscaliuc is a poet and translator whose "radiant and visionary" (Pleiades Magazine) poetry has won two Pushcart Prizes, a Fulbright fellowship, and a Guggenheim "genius" grant. Michael Waters' fourteen published books of poetry "delight in wit and wordplay" (Gettysburg Review). His honors include fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Fulbright Foundation, and five Pushcart Prizes.
Free and all are welcome. Join us after the reading for a harvest-themed reception with the poets.
