Poetry Open Mic Night at Oak Creek Public Library
Please join us for a Poetry Open Mic Night! Take the stage or simply come to enjoy our community's talented poets. Poems should be no longer than five (5) minutes in length and should not contain any profanity. Further guidelines are listed below.
Guidelines:
Poetry may be in any poetic style and on any subject.
A poem in its entirety must be an original work by the person doing the reading.
-Plagiarism is a serious offense with serious consequences.
-Poet may not use any AI software to create poem.
Only one poem per person is allowed.
All poems must be read in English.
Poems containing profanity/language that is vulgar, offensive, or inappropriate will not be accepted.
This program will take place in the Multi-purpose Room and is open to teens & adults. If you would like to read your poem, registration is recommended but not required. Those who have registered will be given the opportunity to read in the order they signed up. Registration is not required for general attendance.
