Play Day 2024
In 2023, after advocating and mobilizing youth voices and organizers from across Southern California, June 24 was officially declared "Play Day" by the California State Senate and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, with each governing body recognizing the positive contributions of the LA84 Foundation and the Play Equity Fund to communities. Over 50 organizations from California to Massachusetts participated in Play Day 2023, while the LA84 Foundation and Play Equity Fund hosted over 300 youth from local youth organizations at the flagship Play Day event at Soboroff Field in Exposition Park.
