Planting Party at Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge!

Join San Diego Bird Alliance on Sunday, September 13, for a planting party at the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge! Come help us put 50 native plants in the ground to create better habitat for native birds and other wildlife. The before-and-after photos show what can happen when a community comes together to restore this special place. Now it’s time to keep that progress growing. All plants and tools will be provided. Just bring yourself and be ready to get your hands dirty. No experience is needed, and everyone is welcome to join in. Sunday, September 13, 2026 Check-in outside the Tijuana Estuary visitor center 301 Caspian Way, Imperial Beach Come plant with us and be part of the next chapter of restoration at the Tijuana Estuary. This event is part of the Latino Conservation Week “Journey Through the Wetlands” celebration and Tijuana River Action Month kickoff.
