In one month of lessons we will review the history of this African-American dance along with common dance steps, technique, turning basics, leading up to the signature swing dance Swing Out! Skill Requirements: NONE! This class is for everyone. ~or~ 😍Lindy Hop 2: FREE GUIDED PRACTICE & OFFICE HOURS MONTH! Join a variety of PSDC instructors for this special FREE month for our Lindy 2 dancers. Weeks 1 & 3 will be GUIDED PRACTICE weeks! Do you have questions or ideas you want to work on from lessons, or simply want space/time/people to practice with? Join us for this guided practice! Bring ideas or questions you may have. We will have a few focus topics for each week that will be announced. **If you're new to guided practice - we'll share practice resources and tips. After that, we'll be around to give feedback, answer questions, and whatever else you might need! NO PARTNER NEEDED! Weeks 2 & 4: Office Hours! Office Hours are short, private feedback sessions on specific topics YOU are wanting help with? We will send out sign up sheets closer to these weeks to reserve your time slot! Skill Requirements: Have taken one full Intro to Lindy class or equivalent experience. *PLEASE NOTE* This class is FREE, however, we are asking you to register online for headcount to appropriately staff the rooms. 😍OPEN PRACTICE ROOM: Open Practice Room: Free We will have an open practice room available for anyone to use! Organize with friends (We have a Discord!) or come work on your solo moves! They have an eclectic mix of styles perfect for dancing, lindy hop, and good times! 😍September 28th (Saturday, 2-5pm) September Swing out Spectacular! SATURDAY workshop. Description: The Swing Out is one of the most iconic movements in Lindy Hop! Join us to polish your swing out fundamentals, and then learn different ways to stylize and add variation to the swing out. Anything goes! From swivels and playing with rhythms, to changing direction, rotation, and timing. Instructors: Roger Mong & Val Kutchko Skill Requirements: Have taken one full Intro to Lindy class and be comfortable with Swing Outs. ADDITIONAL EVENTS TO BE ANNOUNCED! We recommend you wear comfortable clothing and shoes to dance in (shoes with a smooth sole are ideal!) and bring a full water bottle. **UPDATED COVID-19 Policy** Dances are mask optional with no vaccination requirements.
