Join Newark United Methodist Church on November 8th for an informative conversation centered around peacebuilding, economic justice, and advocacy related to Israel-Palestine. A collaboration between Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) and the Bethlehem Free Trade Artisans (BFTA), this program offers a unique opportunity to support Christian-led Palestinian craftspeople while fostering dialogue about paths toward peace and justice in the Holy Land. Our speakers, a CMEP representative and a BFTA leader from Bethlehem, will share firsthand experiences about daily life, creative resilience, and hopes for peace. This initiative is particularly timely as communities in the region continue to recover from recent violence and conflict.
The event will also feature the chance to support BFTA artists from the Holy Land directly, by purchasing some of their work. Available products will vary, but are likely to include olive wood sculptures, traditional ceramics, embroidery, and more.
