Pianos at Pippin's Opening Weekend
An iconic Chicago establishment steeped in history since 1974, Pippin’s Tavern, 39 E. Chicago, is thrilled to debut Pianos at Pippin’s, a dynamic lower level lounge featuring weekly piano shows every Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. beginning in March. Set to elevate the city’s live entertainment scene, Pianos at Pippin’s will offer craft cocktails, an extensive selection of wines, whiskey, and local beers paired with live performances by local musicians and performers. The first performance, slated for Friday, March 1, will feature Piano Man Dario, entertainer at famed sister bar The Redhead Piano Bar.
Nestled beneath the bustling streets of Chicago just steps away from the Magnificent Mile, the lower level of Pippin’s Tavern has been transformed into an alluring space with a seating capacity of 250. Guests can descend the stairs of Pippin’s Tavern’s main dining room and enter into the space for an immersive experience that transcends the typical bar outing. The weekend performances will consist of two grand pianos and charismatic entertainers behind the keys performing audience-requested songs throughout the night while delivering a high-octane live music experience. Pianos at Pippin’s will feature several formats including dueling pianos, live band karaoke, as well as drummer and guitarist performances. The new format is set up for audience interaction and is sure to provide a captivating live music experience for both locals and out-of-towners alike.
Alongside the new programming, Pippin’s Tavern will serve specialty libations handcrafted with seasonal ingredients. Highlights from the cocktail menu include Strawberry Blossom made with Bluecoat Gin, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, prosecco, strawberry cordial, lemon, and lime; Ginger Old Fashioned made with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Giffard Ginger Liqueur, ginger syrup, Bittermens Trans-Atlantic Bitters, and a housemade gingersnap cookie; Teaches of Peaches made with Tito’s Vodka, peach sorbet, Angostura bitters, and prosecco; Orange Smash made with Jameson Orange, simple syrup, lime, and mint, and more.
