Take part in one of the largest community science events in the world while helping us document the diversity of nature in and around Philadelphia!
City Nature Challenge (CNC) is a four-day bioblitz where cities around the world compete to see who can record the most wildlife. The event is free and takes place on the iNaturalist website and app (www.inaturalist.org). Cities are ranked by the total number of observations, number of species and number of people making observations.
Any observation made in the seven-county area (Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery and Bucks counties in Pennsylvania, and Camden, Gloucester and Burlington counties in New Jersey) and during the four days of the event (April 28-May 1), will count toward Philadelphia’s tally. Visit www.cncphilly.org for detailed instructions on how to participate.
This annual event is organized by Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and California Academy of Sciences.
