Phish is almost back! They are reuniting in Hampton, VA this weekend for 3 shows, and we are celebrating this by throwing a show with The Atmosferics, BuzzUniverse, and Lemon Juice on Thursday, March 5 at The Saint! Greg from BuzzUniverse approached me with a great idea of 3 bands each playing a Phish song while playing an 'Asbury Rising' Concert Series show at The Saint. I was all for it, and even threw the challenge back at Greg asking, 'What if we get all 3 bands to play at least 2 Phish songs?' and the idea was really formed. Now, here's the kicker - I'm going to play a mini-acoustic set of Phish tunes in between BuzzUniverse and the Atmosferics. I don't play out often, and when I do I try to make it special...I'll be billed as 'Phan' and I'll try to do my best for you guys...Lemon Juice opens up the night, and will play at least 2 Phish songs and original material. Then, BuzzUniverse will take the stage and play at least 2 Phish songs and original material. Then, 'Phan' will play at least 3 Phish songs solo acoustic, and closing out the night will be our really good friends The Atmosferics (who will also play at least 2 Phish songs and original material.) ...so come to The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ this Thursday for a Pre-Hampton Phish Tribute Show! It's all part of the weekly 'Asbury Rising' Concert Series. It's $7 for those 21+ and $12 for those who are 18 - 20 years old. (We'll let you in on a little secret, too - The Saint is having mirror scanner lights installed permanently on the 4th, so this is going to be a hot show visually, as well!)
