On Thursday, October 17th, beginning at 6pm, join LGBTQ+ people, parents, families and allies at Trellis as we celebrate PFLAG San Francisco’s 30th Anniversary. This legendary nonprofit organization will be honoring Annette Bening, two-time Golden Globe winner and proud mother of her transgender son, for her leadership and support of the LGBTQ+ community. Local entrepreneur Becka Robbins of Fabulosa Books will also be honored for her “Books Not Bans” project to send books by and about LGBTQ+ people and topics to community groups across the country.
The evening will feature performances by Tyler Reese and special guests Suzanne Swan, daughter of the founder of the PFLAG movement Jeanne Manford; San Francisco Supervisor Rafael Mandelman (District 8); Brian K. Bond, CEO of PFLAG National; representatives from both State Sen. Mark Weiner and Mayor London Breed’s offices, and PFLAG San Francisco board members, supporters and friends.
Tickets and information are at PFLAGSF.org.
