MARENGO, Ohio, MARCH 6, 2025 – Groovy Plants Ranch is budding with excitement over the 3rd annual PEONY PALOOZA, happening at Groovy Plants Ranch Friday, March 21st, Saturday March 22nd, and Sunday March 23rd! Groovy has taken it up several notches this year, with more Peonies than ever before! – more Corals, Yellows, and Tree Peonies! The annual celebration occurs at their retail greenhouse experience in Marengo, Ohio, from Friday, March 21, through Sunday, March 23. The three-day plant-filled weekend event features food trucks and over 2000 premium Peonies, all cultivated here at Groovy! Explore the enchanting world of Itohs, intersectionals, and tree peonies. The buds are starting to awaken, and PEONY PALOOZA is your golden ticket to pick the perfect peonies for your garden, from the largest selection of peonies you'll see anywhere! "Peonies are such an easy plant to fall in love with because of their endless fragrant blooms, which make them the best cut flowers. Your entire house will smell amazing. They're also the kind of plant people pass down from generation to generation, making them so special. I've been collecting them since I was a little girl. My mom gave me my first Peony, a Sarah Bernhardt." says Felicia, retail manager. "We hunted for the best varieties of Peonies available and found the most unique and stunning blooms we've ever seen. Some of these varieties have been unavailable for years, and we finally got our hands on them. We can't wait for you to see them at the Palooza! It's like a music festival for Peonies!" says Jared, co-owner with wife Liz. Our team has been preparing for this year's Peony Palooza for an entire year, growing the most incredible varieties worldwide and ensuring we'll have plenty for our customers. Hughes believes this may be the largest selection of Peonies ever offered at a retail garden Center. Some of our favorite varieties are the 'All That Jazz', which has red stripes and speckles on a pastel champagne petal, and the classic 'Sarah Bernhardt', with its endless layers of fluffy pink petals. This year, Groovy will offer over 70 different varieties. Groovy Plants Ranch is off I-71, just 30 miles north of Columbus. Founded in 2009, their retail business and nursery continue to expand and gain accolades, including the March cover story of Greenhouse Grower, Our Ohio magazine, and recently featured in Teresa Woodard's latest book, Garden to the Max! Recently, the Hughes added a brand new, extra-large parking lot to allow for easy shopping, with plenty of room, an upgraded and improved gift shop in the updated "Armadilla Villa," and working on the Holler Earth rock shop with 1000's of gems, crystals, & fossils. This plant experience includes a potting saloon with soil and a wide selection of containers to pot up plants. They live at the Ranch with their two young daughters and two Australian shepherds.
