Pennies to Heaven BBQ & Family Carnival @ OLV Basilica
It's the event you know and love...it's PENNIES TO HEAVEN! Sunday, July 27, offers A FULL DAY of fun for every member of the family.
- 7:30 a.m. - The annual Penny Drop begins outside of the Basilica and runs most of the day ... bring your loose change and support a great cause.
- Noon - Father Baker Day Mass pays tribute to the saintly man who started it all!
- 1-5 p.m. - The Family Carnival features a chicken BBQ (TSG BBQ), raffles/split clubs, beer tent, live entertainment, tons of FREE kids’ activities like bounce houses, games, crafts, a scavenger hunt, dunk tank & more!
All proceeds from the weekend will go directly toward the Basilica's "Save the Dome" campaign that will see the copper from the Shrine's signature dome replaced over the next few years. For more information on sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, check out www.penniestoheaven.org.
