Party for the Planet Earth Day Celebration
The Honolulu Zoo Society invites the community to celebrate Earth Day at Party for the Planet on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy interactive booths and activities that highlight ways to help protect the environment.
The event will feature demonstrations and educational stations focused on wildlife trafficking, marine mammal rescue, invasive species, sustainable living, native plant restoration and other family-friendly games and activities.
This event is included with Honolulu Zoo admission.
A Blood Bank of Hawaiʻi blood drive will also be held that day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments may be scheduled through the Party for the Planet event page on the Honolulu Zoo website.
Party for the Planet is held in partnership with various community organizations, including the City and County of Honolulu Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency, Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle Response, Health & Stranding Lab, Hawai‘i Division of Aquatic Resources, Hawai‘i Marine Animal Response; Hawai‘i State Parks, Hui Manu-o-Kū, O‘ahu Invasive Species Committee;, Papahānaumokuākea Marine Debris Project, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Entomology Club and University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Lyon Arboretum.
