Pärt Stravinsky: Serenity & Power
The Reston Chorale presents Pärt Stravinsky: Serenity & Power, a choral concert conducted by Artistic Director David B. Lang. Featured works include Arvo Pärt's "The Beatitudes," a starkly beautiful and serene setting of the eight blessings from the Sermon on the Mount, and Igor Stravinsky's powerful Symphony of Psalms. Stravinsky's "Ave Maria" and works by American composers Elaine Hagenberg and Morten Lauridsen complete the program.
The Reston Chorale, now in its 59th season, was voted Best Municipal Choir in the 2024 Ovation Awards by DC area choral conductors.
