Part One of George Frederick Handel's Messiah
The American Chamber Chorale and Orchestra led by Artistic Director, Stephen Morton present Part One of George Frederick Handel's Messiah in two concerts in December. Saturday evening, December 16th our concert will take place at 7:30 PM in Salem United Methodist Church's beautiful sanctuary located at 1200 S. Lindbergh Blvd, 63131. On Sunday afternoon, 3:00 PM December 17th, we will perform our first-ever concert at Second Baptist Church, 9030 Clayton Rd., 63117 (Clayton Rd. and McKnight). Free admission.
The American Chamber Chorale is an auditioned ensemble comprised of experienced singers from diverse backgrounds who are united by a love of great music. From music educators to computer programmers, students to retired CEOs, members of the Chorale invest time, talent and finances to provide St. Louis audiences with the opportunity to hear music of substance.
Our Orchestra is comprised of talented professional musicians in the St. Louis area. We tailor the instrumentation of the Orchestra to the music in each of our concerts, so the members of the Orchestra that participate in any particular concert vary based on the music for that concert.
