The Parkinson Council, the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF), will hold its 10th Annual Parkinson's Golf Classic Monday, June 8, at Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley. Proceeds from the Golf Classic will fund critical research at local hospitals. This includes innovative work to identify potential Parkinson victims before the disease manifests itself. In addition, the money funds fellowships to train medical personnel who choose to specialize in Parkinson disease, provides educational materials for both the public and healthcare professionals, and funds seminars for patients and caregivers.
