PAEC Presents: Jake Shimabukuro
Ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro returns to the PAEC stage with his signature blend of brilliance, soul, and boundary-pushing innovation. Since first capturing global attention with his viral rendition of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” Shimabukuro has continually redefined what the ukulele can do—effortlessly traversing genres from classical to rock, jazz to folk, and everything in between.
Over the course of a dozen solo albums and countless collaborations—with legends like Yo-Yo Ma, Jimmy Buffett, Bette Midler, and Billy Strings—Shimabukuro has proven himself as a masterful performer and inspired collaborator. His electrifying stage presence, deep musicality, and infectious energy have captivated audiences worldwide, from Lincoln Center to the Sydney Opera House.
Joining Jake on tour is longtime bassist Jackson Waldhoff, a Honolulu-based musician whose rhythmic precision and warm tone provide the perfect complement to Jake’s dazzling technique.
