PACIFIC CITY TO HOST FREE SHOWING OF ‘MONSTERS UNIVERSITY’

As families prepare to go back to school, Pacific City, an open-air, lifestyle shopping, dining and entertainment destination across from the iconic Huntington Beach Pier in Huntington Beach, California (https://www.gopacificcity.com), invites the community to a free showing of “Monsters University” (rated PG) along with a meet & greet with a Sulley character on Tuesday, August 19th. This special showing will be accompanied by a back-to-school backpack drive event as well. The showing is part of the center’s “Surf City Cinema” series of family-friendly movies held at Surf Theater (Level 2, Surf Deck, across from H&M) typically on the second Wednesday of every month through the end of the year; three months (August, October and December) have special showing dates and some movies may end earlier or later depending on the feature length. Each movie night will also feature a pre-event activity based on the evening's movie theme. For the August 19th showing, the pre-event activity begins at 4:30 p.m. and the movie at 5 p.m. Water, popcorn, and other goodies will be provided (while supplies last). Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. No alcohol or glass allowed. These movies are free of charge and open to the public; no pre-registration is required but space is limited, and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
